Biography

Prof. Yu, MD, Ph.D., is first class chief physician, third class professor, and doctoral supervisor. He is vice president of Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, vice president of Cardiovascular Hospital of Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, and executive director of Hubei Key Laboratory of Autonomic Nervous System Modulation. Prof. Yu has obtained 6 national honors including the National Ten Thousand Talents Plan-Outstanding Young Talents and the National Outstanding Young and Mid-aged Expert by the National Health Commission.

Professor Yu experts in clinical and basic innovative translational research on cardiovascular diseases. He has presided over 17 project grants including the National High-Level Talents Special Support Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers in Circulation, J Am Coll Cardiol, Adv Mater, Nat Commun, Adv Funct Mater, Nano Energy, Adv Sci, JACC Cardiovasc Interv, etc, which have been cited more than 5,000 times by Cell, JAMA, Nat Rev Cardiol, Nature Reviews Materials and other journals. Professor Yu has won more than 20 international, national, and provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards, including the American College of Cardiology Cardiac Interventional "Youth Achievement Award" and 2 Provincial Science and Technology Progress first prizes.
