Research

His research focuses on cerebrovascular diseases and   Alzheimer's disease. In the past 5 years, he innovated the   "Dujiangyan-style" bypass surgery for moyamoya disease, reducing   the postoperative symptomatic hyperperfusion rate to below 5% and benefiting   over 700 patients. The relevant technology has won 2 Second Prizes of the   Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. In the future, he   plans to develop cerebrospinal fluid replacement equipment to advance the   treatment of Alzheimer's disease and explore the inflammatory mechanism of   moyamoya disease using single-cell sequencing.

In terms of academic papers, he has published   research results in top-tier journals such as Journal of   Neurosurgery and Chest. In the past 5 years, his core papers have   focused on directions including blood flow regulation in moyamoya disease.   The department he leads has published more than 200 academic papers in the   past 3 years.

Regarding research projects, he has presided over 3   National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects (e.g.,   "TUG1-Mediated Vascular Inflammation and the Mechanism of Moyamoya   Disease") and 1 Major Technological Innovation Project of Hubei   Province, with a total funding of over 3.8 million yuan.

In addition, he led the compilation of Expert   Consensus on Surgical Treatment of Moyamoya Disease in China (2024   Edition) and served as the chief translator of Surgical Techniques   for Moyamoya Angiopathy. He has obtained 3 Chinese invention patents,   including one for the "Novel Adjustable Pressure Suction Tip". The   department he leads has received 81 authorized patents and undertaken 40   research projects at all levels in the past 3 years.
