The direction of infection immunity focuses on important pathogenic microorganisms and the immune system, aiming to deeply understand the molecular mechanisms of pathogen invasion, replication, and body response, in order to establish new disease models, develop new preventive measures and treatment methods. The central PI takes important pathogens such as herpes virus, hepatitis B virus, coronavirus and influenza virus as research objects, explores the mechanism of pathogen invasion into host cells, manipulates the biological process of the host to support its own replication and transmission, and the host responds to the pathogen infection mechanism. Through in-depth molecular mechanism research, reveal the pathological basis of infectious diseases and seek new treatment and prevention strategies.

1. Natural immune system research: dedicated to studying how the natural immune system recognizes and responds to various viral infections, exploring the cells, proteins, and signaling pathways related to natural immunity, in order to understand their mechanisms of action during the infection process. In addition, methods for regulating the natural immune system are also being studied to enhance the host's ability to combat infection.

2. Development of antiviral drugs: Utilizing the latest biotechnology and drug design methods to search for drug molecules with high antiviral activity. These drugs will inhibit virus replication and transmission through various mechanisms, including interfering with the process of virus invasion into cells, preventing key steps of virus replication, and promoting the antiviral response of the immune system.

3. Vaccine development: aimed at developing effective vaccines for different viruses. Utilize the latest technologies in molecular biology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics to design and produce vaccine candidates, and optimize vaccine design and delivery strategies.
