We are now initiating the application and selection process for the 2023 Wuhan University "Outstanding Postdoctoral Program". Sincerely welcome young talents who are dedicated to academics and brave enough to explore to apply.
1、 Number and duration of support
In 2023, the number of supporters will not exceed 100, and the support period is generally two years.
2、 Salary and welfare benefits
1. Salary: The general applicant's annual salary is 300000 yuan (pre tax); Applicants who receive funding from the National Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program and the Postdoctoral International Exchange Program will receive an annual salary of 400000 yuan (pre tax, including the national funding). After the national funding period expires, the annual salary will be based on the general applicant's salary. The employer and collaborating supervisor may provide additional funding based on the applicant's comprehensive situation.
2. Benefits: Provide housing provident fund, pension insurance, occupational pension, housing subsidies or postdoctoral apartments, and enjoy benefits such as children's enrollment in daycare and medical treatment.
3. Career development channel: According to the relevant regulations of the school, one can apply for the qualification of deputy senior position during the station period. Those who meet the school's talent introduction policy and meet the exit conditions can apply for school teaching positions.
3、 Declaration conditions
1. Possess good ideological and political qualities and professional ethics, with upright professional ethics and style, rigorous scientific attitude, dedication to work, and good physical health.
2. Generally, obtaining a doctoral degree does not exceed three years, or the basic requirements for doctoral thesis defense have been met when applying.
3. Age not exceeding 35 years old, with a good academic background and strong academic potential.
4. The research team or research group has been preliminarily selected, and a preliminary research plan has been formed through consultation with the team or research group leader.
Other instructions:
If the end date of the postdoctoral contract is within 6 months from the application deadline, the corresponding batch selection can be applied for.
Applicants who have received funding from the National Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program and the Postdoctoral International Exchange Program can be directly selected for the "Excellent Postdoctoral Program" at Wuhan University upon recommendation from their respective units.
4、 Selection process
The applicant submits application materials to the unit, and each unit selects and recommends the applicant based on their educational background, academic level, research ability, innovation of the proposed research content, and promotion effect on their respective disciplinary fields. The HR department organizes experts to review and submit it to the school for approval. After the approval results are publicly announced without objection, the final list of candidates is determined.
5、 Declaration materials
1. Application for Wuhan University's "Outstanding Postdoctoral Program";
2. Proof materials:
(1) Identity materials: valid ID card (passport provided by foreign personnel); Doctoral degree certificate and graduation certificate (fresh doctoral graduates must provide proof that they meet the requirements for doctoral graduation, and those who obtain academic degrees abroad must provide the "Certificate of Certification for Academic Degrees Abroad" issued by the Study Abroad Service Center of the Ministry of Education);
(2) Academic and research achievement materials: papers, monographs, patents or awards representing the applicant's academic and research level, and information on scientific research projects undertaken. Among them, the full text of the paper (additional proof of acceptance for unpublished papers) and proof of inclusion and retrieval shall be provided, the cover, table of contents, and abstract of the monograph shall be provided, and certificates for patents or awards shall be provided. Relevant proof materials for scientific research projects undertaken shall be provided.
(3) Three letters of recommendation from experts, including letters of recommendation from doctoral supervisors (there are no restrictions on referrals for postdoctoral fellows).

6、 Time arrangement
1. First batch of application and selection
Personal application submission time: before March 31, 2023
Unit submission deadline: before April 30, 2023
School results announcement time: early June 2023
2. Second batch of application and selection
Personal application submission time: before September 30, 2023
Unit submission deadline: before October 31, 2023
School results announcement time: early December 2023
7、 Regarding instructions
1. Candidates who have not submitted their doctoral degree certificate during the application process need to verify their degree certificate when they come to the university to complete the procedures. If one does not obtain a doctoral degree certificate, their eligibility for selection will be cancelled.
2. The school will issue a notice of selection for the Wuhan University "Excellent Postdoctoral Program" to the selected candidates. The selected candidates must go to the school to complete the postdoctoral entry procedures in accordance with the requirements stated in the notice.
3. After entering the station, one must work full-time as a postdoctoral researcher at Wuhan University.
